Staff Accountant

Senior Staff AccountantSymbiotic Services is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to support our client's Accounting and Finance team. This role is instrumental in managing revenue recognition, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and more. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of GAAP. This position will partner with Office Managers and operations staff, and reports directly to the Divisional Controller.Key Responsibilities:Prepare monthly financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash FlowsLead the month-end close process for multiple divisionsReconcile all accounts to the General Ledger accurately and timelyMaintain supporting documentation and adjust general ledger entries as neededAssist with inventory reconciliations and participate in month-end inventory processesTrack and report daily/weekly cash activities and validate Treasury reportsMaintain fixed asset records and manage acquisitions/disposalsPrepare business personal property tax and sales tax filings across jurisdictionsPerform monthly bank reconciliationsCoordinate with HR to record payroll tax journal entriesSupport accounting for farm operations and collectionsEnsure compliance with company accounting policies and proceduresProvide audit documentation and support as requestedAssist with special projects assigned by managementSkills & Qualifications:Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principlesHigh-level analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong time management and organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office SuiteAbility to work independently and collaborativelyBachelor's Degree in AccountingMinimum of 5 years of relevant experienceExperience with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct or equivalentBackground in inventory or manufacturing accountingA/P or A/R management experience is a plusInterested candidates should apply through Symbiotic Services.
