Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Facility: Lake City Healthcare and Rehabilitation Location: Lake City, Florida Shift: Full Time Pay Rate: $34/hour About The Role Lake City Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide high-quality therapy services that promote mobility, independence, and improved quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting and a passion for helping residents achieve their functional goals through personalized care. Key Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in providing safe, effective, and individualized therapy treatments. Follow established care plans, treatment protocols, and safety guidelines. Provide support during therapy sessions to help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall function. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy services provided. Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean, organized therapy area and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Identify and report equipment concerns, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly. Follow infection control policies and proper PPE procedures. Promote a positive, professional, and resident-focused environment. Requirements Current, unrestricted Florida Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home, skilled nursing facility, or rehabilitation setting preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
