Step into a vibrant educational environment and make a meaningful impact as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This full-time, contract opportunity serves students ages PreK–22 across campuses in the San Juan Capistrano area, with itinerant assignments focusing on either San Clemente or Mission Viejo. The role requires an on-site presence with the flexibility to consider part-time candidates. As local school board decisions prompt dynamic changes, adaptability and initiative will be highly valued.

Your expertise will support students in maximizing their independence and participation within the school setting. Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that foster student growth and achievement.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
• Active California Occupational Therapy License
• Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage an itinerant caseload at multiple campuses
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners PreK–22
• Ready to work on-site and adapt to evolving district priorities
• COTA candidates are not eligible for this position

What You’ll Do:

• Provide comprehensive OT evaluations and direct therapy services to students
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to facilitate student participation
• Maintain organized records in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Travel between assigned schools in the San Juan Capistrano area
• Engage proactively with changing district needs and initiatives
