Laser Operator/Programmer

Position Title: Laser Operator/Programmer Wage: $20.00 - $25.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 07:00 am - 03:30 pm M-F, OT as needed Laser Operator/Programmer Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate Mazak Lasers, up to 2500 KHZ. Adjust settings for different operations. Accurately adjust power settings for a variety of metals, including cold rolled, stainless steel, and aluminum for the FMS system. Read and understand complex blueprints; conduct layout reviews such as checking hole size or inspection. Read, speak, and understand sufficient English to work with job cards, micrometer, scale, and dial calipers. Aptitude in knowledge of CNC programs and their languages. Perform required maintenance on the machine. Notify supervisor immediately of problems, concerns, or questions. Comply with all company policies. Keep work area clean and free of hazards. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly work and safety activities. Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor to ensure smooth flow of operations. Requirements for Laser Operator/Programmer High school diploma or equivalent. OEM training course preferred. CNC programming knowledge. Two to three years of laser operation and programming experience required. Able to lift 40 pounds and perform repeated bending and twisting. High mechanical aptitude, self‑motivated, takes initiative. Ability to read English as required for interpreting job cards and prints. Willing to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Safety and quality minded. Team player; works with others to solve problems and helps others when assistance is needed.
