Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure/certification in Special Education (out-of-state considered with reciprocity)
• Experience or training in multiple disabilities (MD), autism spectrum disorders, non-verbal communication, or emotional disabilities (ED)
• Familiarity with BIPs (Behavior Intervention Plans), crisis intervention, and social-emotional instructional strategies
• Commitment to individualized learning, advocacy, and teamwork

Responsibilities:

• Manage a classroom of 9–12 students with multiple disabilities or 10–15 students with emotional disabilities
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each learner
• Collaborate with related service providers and families
• Create a safe, inclusive environment utilizing BIPs and positive reinforcement
• Provide crisis intervention as necessary and foster social-emotional growth
