Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable. Utilize Your Full Skillset: You’ll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work. Be a Leader and Mentor: You’ll guide and support the medical team, ensuring an efficient workflow while mentoring others to help them grow their skills and careers. Partner with Clients: You’ll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions. You’ll be an integral part of saving lives each day through: Patient Care & Procedures: Venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory work, etc. Surgical Support: Assisting in advanced procedures, preparing patients, and ensuring smooth recoveries. Treatments & Record Keeping: Administering treatments and medications to pets, filling prescriptions, maintaining accurate medical records. Client Communication: Educating and supporting pet owners with empathy and professionalism. Hospital Support: Delivering compassionate care for hospitalized patients. Position Requirements Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology. 2+ years of experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred). Flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced, 24‑hour surgical hospital environment. Comfortable with technology, surgical procedures, and client interactions. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and support patients of all sizes. A team player with strong communication skills and a passion for animals. Competitive Compensation Competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package.
