Project Accountant (Hybrid)

Summary: The Project Accountant supports financial reporting, accounting systems, and ERP-related initiatives by serving as a key liaison between Finance, IT, and external vendors. This role helps ensure project deliverables meet accounting requirements, financial data remains accurate, and system changes are properly tested and validated. The position also supports month-end accounting activities, reconciliations, audits, and process improvements that strengthen the efficiency and reliability of the Finance function. Description: Lead all finance and accounting-related contributions to IT development work, includingdeveloping testing plans,maintainingproject timelines for the Financedepartment, and tracking the progress of deliverables Review financial data to ensure it followsgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciples(GAAP) Independently review,test, andvalidatejournalentries, financial reports, and payment processing for accuracy Provide solutions for identifiedproject risks, delays, resource concerns, and potential accounting issues Coordinate user testing and validation of new accounting functionality Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Serve as Finance liaison for all assigned projects Provide regular project updates to all levels of leadership Support ERP, accountingsystem, financial reporting, and technology-related initiatives Complete and analyze data reconciliation and accuracy during system conversions Review existing accounting workflows andidentifyopportunities toimprove efficiency Help standardize accounting processes across departments and business entities Assistwith year-end audit requests Support with department budgets, as needed Cross-train and act as backup for other Finance team members Other duties as assigned by management Knowledge and Skills: Knowledgeofgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciples(GAAP) Intermediateto advanced Excel skills Strongproject management, organizational, and documentation abilities Ability to communicate effectively with accounting and non-accounting individuals Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Requirements: 4-year college degree in Accounting or a Business degree with a concentration inaccounting 3-4 +years’ experience with general ledger, month-end close, and account analysis 3-4 + experience working with ERP or financial systems Results-oriented and ability to meet assigned deadlines This position is accepting applications until 10/16/2026.
