We always have the Sonos bumping, filling our hard-working silence with motivating beats.  The kitchen is permanently stocked with our favorite soft drinks, seasonal beers, tasty snacks, and fun-sized candy!  You’ll work with a group of go-getters at The Castle every day.  Yes, our home office is dubbed, “The Castle!”  You can expect to see the whole team together only on Tuesdays for our operations meetings.  Tuesdays are a long day of internal meetings, but it’s not too bad - Red Canyon always buys us a delicious lunch!  We’re a goofy bunch of nerds who love what we do in - and outside of work.

Who We Need:

The ideal candidate that we are looking for has a strong working knowledge of accounting procedures and principles, is detail-oriented, highly analytical, self-motivated, trustworthy, and can perform quickly and accurately.  We are looking for someone who can support multiple businesses and grow within the role. You will report directly to the Senior Accountant and COO.

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid role in Denver, CO. On-site presence expected 1-2 days per week and as needed during onboarding, close or process transition periods.

Responsibilities:

• Own routine AP/AR, billing support, cash application, reconciliations and transaction processing.
• Prepare supporting schedules for close, reporting and tax/CPA requests for Sr. Accountant review.
• Support payroll accounting mechanics, vendor/account maintenance, customer payment recording and routine accounting follow-up.
• Research discrepancies before escalation and provide organized facts/recommendations.
• Support both aerospace and real estate accounting workflows with flexibility and accuracy.
• Maintain documentation and recurring accounting procedures.

Required:

• 3+ years of accounting support, staff accounting or transactional accounting experience.
• Strong AP/AR, reconciliations, documentation and Excel skills.
• Comfort working across multiple entities/business models.
• Advanced Excel user skills
• Microsoft Office Suite competency
• Refined verbal and written skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Reliable team player
• Ability to self-manage and motivate
• Capacity to successfully adhere to instructions on repetitive and/or new assignments
• Effectively prioritize the revolving needs of the company with regular recurring daily tasks
• Thirst for knowledge
• Passion for space

Desired:

• ERP experience preferred; GovCon, JAMIS and/or real estate accounting exposure helpful.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience with Google Suite
• Experience with Dropbox
• 10-key skills
• Customer Service Experience
