Financial Specialist

Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Financial Program Supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance of Persons In Our Care (PIOC) accounts using the computerized system Wisconsin Integrated Corrections System (WICS). Responsibilities include receipts and disbursements, PIOC obligations, answering PIOC correspondence, preparing general fund checks, processing of PIOC canteen statements, maintenance of the PIOC and general ledger accounts; the preparation of various financial reports, including the submission of routine monthly quarterly and annual reports; and the performance of miscellaneous duties. This position will also back up other Financial Specialists as assigned by Financial Program Supervisor. The above duties are not all inclusive; other tasks as deemed appropriate will be assigned by the Financial Program Supervisor. Salary Information This position is in pay schedule/range 02-11 with a starting pay rate of $22.31 /hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the Compensations Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
