Certified Surgical Technologist

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and supporting the surgical team. The Surgical Technologist will work within moderate to high acuity surgical cases, anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile technique, and participate in performance improvement and practice development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent associate certificate.
• Current certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) as CST, TS-C(NCCT), CSFA, or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Experience working as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an operating room setting. (Client requires competency in moderate to high acuity surgical cases.)
• Ability to perform instrument and equipment troubleshooting, prepare sterile fields, perform surgical counts, and follow preference cards.
• Willingness to participate in call or late coverage as required by the facility.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience mentoring, precepting, or training students and new hires.
• Familiarity with perioperative inventory management, case cart preparation, and terminal sterilization processes.
• Previous experience in a hospital surgical services environment supporting diverse specialties.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Evenings.
• Shift pattern noted as 5x8.
• May be required to provide call or late coverage related to the facility.
