About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership and guide the organization's mission of empowering individuals and families through peer-led mental health and substance use recovery services. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of recovery, lived experience, innovation, and collaboration, and will oversee strategic planning, organizational operations, financial sustainability, and community partnerships. This role requires a leader who can serve as the chief ambassador, ensuring the organization's impact grows while remaining true to its core values and commitment to peer support. The Executive Director will also be tasked with operationalizing equity in all aspects of the organization and will be expected to champion the values of respect, responsibility, empowerment, genuineness, welcoming, innovation, justice, and curiosity. Applicants for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' of executive leadership experience in nonprofit, behavioral health, healthcare, human services, recovery, or related organizations. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with a proven track record in leading organizational strategy, operations, and change management. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial stewardship, fundraising, and building strategic partnerships, as well as a strong background in community engagement and advocacy. Preferred qualifications include lived experience with recovery, experience in peer-led organizations, and knowledge of Medicaid-funded services and behavioral health systems. The role demands a leader with strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational leadership skills, who can balance strategic vision with operational excellence and is committed to creating a workplace where employees feel respected, empowered, and inspired to advance the organization's mission.
