About the Role
The Company is in search of a collaborative and strategic Executive Director to lead its mission of conserving and caring for vital lands, waters, and wildlife. The successful candidate will be an inspiring and grounded leader with a deep respect for the science, politics, and people involved in conservation. Responsibilities include guiding organizational growth, developing staff capacity, and maintaining momentum to deliver measurable conservation outcomes. The Executive Director will be expected to have strong ties to the local communities and philanthropic landscape, or experience in a similar region, and a demonstrated commitment to working with and learning from historically marginalized communities in conservation. The ideal Executive Director for the company will bring a results-driven mindset, strategic vision, and a commitment to optimizing resources and enhancing performance. This role requires a leader who can build and sustain strong relationships with staff, board members, landowners, community partners, tribal nations, and donors. The candidate should be prepared for a full-time, exempt, benefit-eligible position, with a significant in-person presence and occasional evening and weekend availability for events and organizational activities. The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in the company's mission, which has a rich history of conserving over 56,000 acres across a diverse ecoregion, and will be instrumental in continuing to foster sound science and strong relationships in the pursuit of conservation.
