Co-Executive Director - Development, Finance, and Operations

About PIRC Founded in 2006, the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition’s (PIRC) mission is to bring an end to all unjust detentions and deportations of our immigrant community members in Oregon. PIRC envisions an America truly free from unjust deportation and detention, where all people, especially migrant workers, are neither exploited for their labor nor in fear of deportation, but instead have access to the resources they need to thrive. We envision a time when all of Oregon’s community members, regardless of where they came from or when, are valued, safe, and treated equally under the law. Position Overview The Co-Executive Director, Development & Operations provides strategic leadership to advance PIRC’s mission to end unjust detention and deportation. This role focuses on developing and managing PIRC’s fundraising efforts and strengthening PIRC’s financial operations. The Co-Executive Director will work collaboratively with a Co-Executive Director, Advocacy & Strategy and the Board to ensure strong organizational leadership and sustainability. This role plays a key part in representing PIRC publicly, strengthening relationships across Oregon, and supporting organizing to build collective power for immigrant communities. Core Responsibilities Shared Executive Leadership Co-lead and represent PIRC with the Co-Executive Director, Advocacy & Programs Co-develop a shared decision-making process, organizational strategy, and annual work plans (in consultation with staff and Board) Partner on staffing needs and team coordination Represent PIRC publicly with donors, foundations, media, and partners Staff Supervision & Organizational Leadership Directly supervise staff, including regular check-ins and performance support Support goal-setting, professional development, and accountability Foster a collaborative, equitable team culture Development & Finance Design and lead individual donor strategy: recruitment, stewardship, retention Design and lead grant strategy: prospecting, writing, management, reporting Set up and manage a donor CRM Co-Develop the annual budget with the Co-ED and key stakeholders; report quarterly to the Board Ensure adherence to financial policies and internal controls Lead annual audit process with external auditors and Board Treasurer Operations Oversee financial systems and monthly reporting (with consultants as needed) Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements, including tax filings Implement contracts management, including billing and collection schedules Develop and maintain HR policies; support hiring and onboarding Develop and implement a conflict resolution policy for staff and Board 5+ years in grassroots fundraising, donor cultivation, and grants 3-5 years supervising staff 3+ years in financial management (accounting basics, budget development) Strong relationship-building and communication skills Commitment to racial justice and immigrant rights Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Spanish proficiency, or another language spoken by Oregon's immigrant communities Ability to work some evenings and weekends Preferred Qualifications Professional or lived experience in immigrant rights work Experience with shared leadership or collective governance models Experience with strategic planning or organizational leadership Familiarity setting up and managing accounting and CRM systems Strong understanding of immigrant justice issues Hybrid: in-person availability needed in the Portland metro area; some statewide travel Benefits: 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision; PTO and sick leave; paid holidays; professional development opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Portland-Immigrant-Rights-Coalition
