Phoenix Pharmacy is seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy team. We provide services to long-term care facilities and play an important role in making sure our patients receive the right medications, in the right packaging, at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and packaging unit-dose and multidose medications for LTC facilities
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and monitoring medications and supplies
• Maintain and update patient medication files including medication changes, new orders, refills, discontinued medications, and other facility requests
• Communicate professionally with facility staff, patients and caregivers when necessary
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production area
• Follow all pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and LTC best practices

Qualifications

• Currently licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy
• 3+ years of recent pharmacy experience, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with wholesaler purchasing and familiarity with wholesaler contracts (preferred)
• Experience with PioneerRx, FrameworkLTC or a similar system (desired but not required)
