Executive Kitchen Manager

Ivar's, the premier seafood restaurant company in the Pacific Northwest, is now hiring a full-time Executive Kitchen Manager with high-volume experience to lead the culinary team at our full-service Acres of Clams location on Pier 54 in downtown Seattle. The salary for this position will be between $85,000 and $95,000 per year, plus our this role will be eligible for a quarterly bonus based on the restaurant's performance (and a signing bonus after 90 days on the job).

Responsibilities of an Ivar's Executive Kitchen Manager include:

• Supervising food production for the restaurant, including prep, cooking, and presentation
• Maintaining the highest professional safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
• Supervising and training the heart of the house staff
• Developing and monitoring the kitchen's budget through careful and considerate purchasing of our high-quality ingredients and employee scheduling

Preferred candidates for this position will have a culinary degree and:

• Ten years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen (seafood restaurant a plus) and at least five years of kitchen management experience
• A strong track record in controlling food and labor costs and achieving financial objectives
• The desire to hire and train the best employees and motivate them to our high standards of excellence
• Valid Washington State food handler and MAST permits
