Business Development Specialist - Southeast Territory

Monarch Sky is a specialty MGA built for real estate investors and the lenders who fund them. Its SmartFlip program, written on an Excess & Surplus basis with NuSureCo Specialty, covers fix & flip, vacant, and renovation properties that standard carriers decline or delay. Policies run 3, 6, 9, or 12 months to match the loan, limits go up to $1M per location, and the lender is named as mortgagee and loss payee. Underwriting and operations are in-house in Texas, with full binding authority. The Business Development Specialist builds relationships with residential transition loan (RTL) lenders , the fix & flip, bridge, and rehab lenders who fund real estate investors, and turns them into steady sources of business for SmartFlip, Monarch Sky's vacant and renovation property insurance program. FLSA Status: Exempt (Base Salary + Bonus) Build the RTL lender network: prospect and sign fix & flip, bridge, and rehab lenders in the territory, along with their loan officers, processors, and closing teams. Grow existing accounts: stay in front of active lenders, add branches and loan officers, and bring multi-state lenders into new states as Monarch Sky expands

• Connect lenders to the team: pair every signed lender with a named Monarch Sky agent or operations contact, and work with underwriting to protect closing dates
• Support agency partners (secondary): when the lender network surfaces investor-focused insurance agencies, introduce them to Monarch Sky's appointment process
• Represent Monarch Sky at events: industry conferences and local REI events
• Report and share insight: keep the CRM current weekly, and report on lender needs, lost deals, and competitor activity

3+ years of B2B sales in RTL or private lending (loan officer, account executive, broker relations, or capital markets)

• An existing network of RTL lenders, loan officers, and brokers in the territory
• Lives in or near the base metro and able to travel in-territory
• keeps a CRM current without reminders
