Materials Supervisor – O&M North Slope Construction

The Materials Supervisor is responsible for ensuring materials are purchased, received, processed, and distributed to meet project material requirements. This position supervises personnel, coordinates logistics, and implements purchasing and documentation processes to meet project schedules.

Essential duties include generating and expediting purchase orders and managing procurement processes in Oracle procurement module, determining material take-offs and substitutions based on project specifications and drawings, ensuring and monitoring timely delivery of materials to project locations, interfacing with project and construction managers to provide material delivery updates, maintaining and reporting material sourcing through approved suppliers and freight forwarders, reviewing and monitoring purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and payments for accuracy, ensuring supplier and related project documents are submitted to Document Management, managing material warehousing and ensuring items are stored according to Company and customer requirements, coordinating daily activities and supervising personnel, ensuring personnel comply with Company and customer policies and procedures, providing leadership and education in AES zero-incident safety culture and assuming personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.

Required experience includes a High school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid (U.S issued) Driver's License, a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Materials Inventory Management and Logistics, experience with and an intellectual understanding of industrial electrical materials, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and purchasing software programs such as Oracle, Passport, or SAP.
