Registered MRI Technologist, Radiology, Full Time, Third Shift

Job Description UC Health is hiring a full‑time Registered MRI Technologist for the Radiology Department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The role supports the department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging according to established protocols, including reviewing the appropriateness and completeness of patient histories and requests for services. Location Cincinnati, OH, United States Qualifications Completion of a JRCERT‑approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate degree in Radiologic, Nuclear, or Sonographic Technology. 1 year of experience preferred. Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or have equivalent certifications; ARRT‑MR licensure is required. Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association. Current BLS certification for Healthcare workers. Responsibilities Communicates in a clear and appropriate manner with patients and staff while identifying and responding to varying needs. Performs all aspects of MRI according to established protocols, explaining procedures to patients, reviewing safety protocols, and completing MRI procedures per safety standards. Operates complex imaging equipment safely and reviews films for diagnostic acceptability. Reviews and administers medications per physician direction and provides continuous care to patients after procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media or medications orally and via intravenous injection. Administers or assists in administering CPR or other emergency procedures as needed. Maintains appropriate records and supplies, participates in quality control, and evaluates the department, equipment, and performance for areas of improvement.
