HR Assistant

Job Location: Kentfield, CA 94904. Position: Full‑time. Hourly Salary: $26.00 – $33.22. SUMMARY Kentfield Hospital is seeking a detail‑oriented and compassionate HR Assistant to support daily Human Resources operations in a fast‑paced healthcare environment. The role assists the HR Director, handles employee onboarding, maintains personnel files, supports payroll and benefits administration, and ensures compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES Keep track of regulatory requirements such as licensure and certifications; work closely with scheduling. Provide administrative support to the HR department: filing, projects, compliance, and running reports. Support payroll processing, benefits, and performance‑management administration. Assist with new‑hire orientation and onboarding (background checks, paperwork, benefits, etc.). Verify I‑9 and maintain I‑9 files. Perform customer‑service responsibilities, answering employee requests and concerns regarding HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate employee data to ensure HR record integrity. Update changes in salary, title, forms, benefits, etc. Assist with recruitment activities such as creating and managing requisitions, interviews, and candidate relations. Apply knowledge of HIPAA, The Joint Commission, state, and federal regulations relating to Human Resources. QUALIFICATIONS Associate degree in Business Administration or related field, or aPHR/PHR. Previous hands‑on HR experience (ideally in a healthcare setting). Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
