Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics (Neonatology)

Summary The Division of Neonatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Health System is seeking a neonatologist with a focused interest in Neonatal to join the largest academic neonatal/perinatal center in Florida, state‑of‑the‑art clinical service and ample opportunities for clinical/translational research. Clinical services are rendered at all Jackson Hospital locations: Jackson Holtz Children Hospital, Jackson South, and Jackson North. Reporting Relationship The Assistant Professor reports directly to the Division Chief. Responsibilities Clinical duties as a Neonatal Attending at all covering locations, providing medical care for neonates on a 24‑hour, 7 days per week rotational schedule. Provide antenatal consultation for high‑risk pregnancies. Care and stabilization of infants in the delivery room. Conduct daily rounds on patients in the various neonatal units. Administrative duties within the division and the Newborn Service. Teach residents, fellows, and medical students. Develop and participate in original research—clinical or translational—seeking extramural funding. Requirements Active Florida Medical License. Board Certified in Pediatrics. Neonatal Board Eligible or Neonatal Experience Preferred. BLS certification.
