Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Readiness in Dallas, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur10:00 PM - 06:00 AMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus personnel and/or public emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and activity throughout assigned areas, report suspicious behavior, and document incidents according to site-specific procedures. Maintain professional firearm handling practices and comply with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal armed post procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Possess an armed guard card or license. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
