Enterprise Architect

Position- Peoplesoft Enterprise Architect with CAPPS Exp

Location- Austin, TX

Type- Remote with occasional travel

Visa- USC only

Key Responsibilities

Technical Operations Leadership

• Lead and oversee CAPPS Technology Operations activities.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Manage technical teams, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Monitor project delivery, team performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, standards, and governance.

CAPPS Application & Platform Support

• Support CAPPS Financials, HR/Payroll, Recruit, STARR, and related systems.
• Coordinate technical activities among internal teams, external agencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Oversee system upgrades, deployments, integrations, disaster recovery, and security initiatives.
• Support service desk operations, monitoring, and incident management activities.

Required Qualifications

• Experience supporting Texas State Government agencies.
• Experience supporting CPA or similar large-scale enterprise application environments.
• Experience developing and managing enterprise technology roadmaps.
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and managed service providers.
• Experience delivering executive-level presentations and stakeholder communications.
• 10+ years of experience managing enterprise IT projects and technology initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies, data integration, data quality, and enterprise architecture practices.
• Extensive experience with IT security controls, governance, and compliance.
• Experience with ITIL-based service management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting CAPPS Central for 100+ agencies and multiple hub environments.
• Experience with CPA legacy statewide financial systems.
• Experience developing technical specifications for IT procurements.
• Strong understanding of software and hardware management best practices.
• Experience gathering business requirements for large enterprise programs.
