Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in a high-volume ER and peri-procedural environment, following physician orders and established policies
• Assess patient condition, triage, initiate treatment, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs and medications
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
• Document care in the electronic health record, assist with discharge planning, and provide patient/family education

Requirements

• Active RN license from any state (Arizona licensure not required for hire)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) completion within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale must be completed (within 6 months of hire)
• Emergency Severity Index Level 5 (ESI 5) within 3 months of hire
• Pediatric Sitter Competency Training required upon hire
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale documentation; NRP required within 1 year; TNCC required within 1 year; ENPC required within 1 year
