Multiple openings are available at both the elementary and high school levels, all onsite in a vibrant school atmosphere. This contract opportunity spans the entire school year, from late October through early June, and provides the chance to make a lasting impact on student lives.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, with a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (MDE requirement), OR
• Bachelor’s Degree and current enrollment in a state-approved teacher certification program
• Previous classroom experience in a similar educational setting is highly preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to individualize instruction and utilize various teaching strategies for diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly and indirectly support students with disabilities in resource rooms, fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment
• Employ specialized instructional strategies to enhance sensory, motor, cognitive, and language development
• Deliver academic instruction using evidence-based approaches such as phonics, multisensory activities, and differentiated repetition
• Implement students’ IEP goals, promoting positive behavior supports and teaching social skills
• Modify general education curricula to address individual needs, incorporating assistive technology when appropriate
• Plan, conduct, and adapt engaging lessons that integrate direct teaching, guided practice, and opportunities for independent work
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to promote student achievement and ensure regulatory compliance
