Explore. this summer! Job Summary Preparing high-quality meals in a timely manner, following recipe guidelines and utilizing a variety of cooking methods. This role requires effective communication with the chef on duty and adherence to sanitation standards to ensure a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The Details Position Type: Seasonal Season Dates: starting in late‑June/early‑July and ending in September 2026 (exact dates vary by location) Pay: $18.85/hr Schedule: Typical schedule is 45-50 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays) Life in Glacier Employee housing (dormitory‑style or RV site) and on‑site employee meals (cafeteria‑style) Free on‑site laundry facility, employee shuttle service, Wi‑Fi (limited bandwidth) Fast‑paced, exciting work environment with plenty of upward mobility and growth opportunities Perks Free Glacier National Park pass Free Red Bus Tours (if available) Retail, Lodging and Travel Discounts Planned employee trips and activities $350 Referral Bonus Program Responsibilities Creating a quality product in a timely fashion for guests and staff. Communicate closely with chef on duty. Follows recipe cards and use a full range of cooking methods. Familiar with operation of kitchen equipment. Maintain Xanterra standards of sanitation throughout kitchen area. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Some culinary/fast food experience preferred, culinary arts degree preferred. Must have knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.). Ability to remain calm and work well in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours. Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds. Bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
