Client Stabilization Specialist

Job Summary The Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) Client Stabilization Specialist is a shelter or temporary lodging site-based position with a primary role of working with individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The Specialist ensures entering residents are stabilized, conducting HMIS intakes, providing orientation, executing perimeter walks, and escalating issues affecting stabilization. The role communicates with leadership and Client Care Coordinators regarding program violations and collaborates on coordinating services for complex substance use, mental health, housing, and medical needs. Data entry into the established system, including violations, end‑of‑shift notes, and room checks, is a core duty. The Specialist initiates housing prioritization assessments for all individuals as needed. Responsibilities Conduct HMIS intakes for new shelter or temporary lodging residents. Provide education on shelter rules, responsibilities, resources, and overall orientation. Perform face‑to‑face visits and perimeter walks to monitor resident stability. Escalate issues impacting stabilization to leadership and Client Care Coordinators. Communicate identified needs of individuals with complex addiction, mental health, housing, and medical requirements to ensure proper service coordination. Complete data entry into the system, including violations, end‑of‑shift notes, and room checks. Determine and complete housing prioritization assessments for all residents. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 12 months recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders. 1–3 years of full‑time health care related experience in behavioral and medical crisis situations preferred. Valid identification required. Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) certification per A.A.C. R9‑10‑101.33 and CBI Clinical Policies preferred but not required. Will complete CBI Peer Certification within 90 days of hire. Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (program specific). Benefits Generous PTO accrual (5 weeks).
