About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Per Diem, Evening What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health. Perform age and disease‑specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop a patient‑centered plan of care with specific goals. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications using advanced bar‑scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes. Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program Licenses & Certifications: Current RN License in New Jersey BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
