Part-Time | Hybrid in New York City | 3-Month Initial Term | Commission-Based About VibesMeet VibesMeet is building a university event, creator, and sponsorship network across New York and London. We work with student organizers, university societies, creators, event hosts, and brands to launch measurable campus experiences supported by event registration, ticketing, QR check-in, creator promotion, sponsor activations, merchandise, and post-event reporting. New York is the first launch market for this program, and we are recruiting students and recent graduates who are already active in the university event scene and can help us host at least one approved college or university event per month. The role As a New York Campus Events, Partnerships & Growth Intern, you will help identify, plan, promote, and deliver university events across New York City. You will work with student societies, creators, DJs, founders, cultural groups, wellness communities, event organizers, venues, and potential sponsors. This role is best suited to someone who already understands their campus community and can turn event opportunities into organized, measurable, and sponsor-ready experiences. Key responsibilities Identify event opportunities at your university and other New York colleges. Build relationships with student societies, organizers, venues, DJs, creators, and community leaders. Help source and qualify events that align with VibesMeet’s campus strategy. Collect accurate information about event dates, venues, audiences, expected attendance, pricing, and approval requirements. Help obtain university, society, and venue approvals where required. Directly organize or support at least one approved campus event during the initial program period. Maintain at least one additional event opportunity in the pipeline. Event planning and operations Support event-page creation, registration, and ticketing. Help coordinate QR-based check-in and verified attendance tracking. Assist with attendee communication, volunteer coordination, and event-day operations. Help coordinate VibesMeet signage, merchandise, creator areas, and sponsor materials. Document event incidents, attendance issues, and operational outcomes. Support post-event data reconciliation and reporting. Creator and student promotion Identify relevant campus creators, student influencers, DJs, hosts, and local content creators. Help recruit creators to attend, promote, and produce content for approved events. Support creator briefs, content schedules, tracking links, and agreed deliverables. Work with suitable creators ranging from campus micro-creators to local creators with approximately 10,000 to 200,000 followers. Track registrations, ticket sales, and engagement generated by each creator. Identify high-performing creators who may later launch their own VibesMeet-supported events. Sponsorship and partnerships Research sponsors that align with each event and audience. Help identify opportunities across categories such as banking, fintech, travel, airlines, hotels, telecoms, technology, food, beauty, fashion, wellness, entertainment, and professional services. Support personalized sponsor outreach, follow-ups, meeting preparation, and proposal development. Organize event history, creator performance, audience information, and campaign evidence for SponsorOS. Help coordinate approved sponsor activations and post-event reporting. Never promise sponsorship, funding, creator attendance, discounts, or campaign results without written authorization. CRM and pipeline management Maintain accurate records in Airtable, Google Sheets, or the assigned CRM. Record the current stage, last contact, reply outcome, next action, owner, and follow-up date. Review the complete CRM and email history before contacting any organizer, creator, or sponsor. Prevent duplicate or unnecessary outreach. Track student hosts, events, creators, sponsors, registrations, ticket sales, and event outcomes. Provide clear weekly pipeline and activity updates. Priority event categories The New York campus team will initially focus on: Creator, entrepreneurship, technology, career, and professional events African, Caribbean, international, and diaspora cultural events Wellness, fitness, beauty, and self-care experiences Comedy, spoken word, theatre, and student talent showcases Controlled DJ, music, and nightlife events with appropriate safety, venue, and age requirements Who should apply are currently enrolled at, recently graduated from, or have a strong connection to a New York college or university; are already involved in student events, societies, campus media, entrepreneurship, culture, music, wellness, nightlife, or creator communities; understand how to reach students and build attendance for an event; can identify at least one realistic campus event opportunity; communicate professionally with organizers, creators, sponsors, and university representatives; are reliable, responsive, and able to meet deadlines; are comfortable using spreadsheets, CRM tools, and online collaboration platforms; can attend occasional meetings and events across New York City; are available for some evening and weekend event activity; want practical experience in BizOps, events, Revenue Operations, partnerships, sponsorships, or creator marketing. An existing sponsor network is not required. Strong campus access, local knowledge, professionalism, and reliability are more important. Time commitment Approximately 15 to 20 hours per week Flexible remote work with required in-person activity in New York City Some evening and weekend availability Initial three-month term, with possible extension based on performance and company needs Compensation This is currently a commission-based opportunity. There is no fixed salary or stipend unless a separate written compensation arrangement is provided. You earn 15% of gross ticket sales from events you directly source and help close, subject to confirmed payment collection, refunds, chargebacks, and organizer payout completion. Please note: Free events do not generate ticket-sales commission. Sponsor-related commission is not automatic. Any sponsor commission will be agreed and documented separately in writing. Commission applies only to opportunities properly attributed to you in the CRM. No commission is earned from cancelled, refunded, fraudulent, or uncollected transactions. Sponsorship, event revenue, attendance, creator support, and featured placement are not guaranteed.
