The Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) is responsible for assisting in interventional radiology procedures in a high-acuity hospital environment.
This role involves supporting physicians during procedures, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety while delivering high-quality diagnostic and interventional care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Procedures
• Assist in interventional radiology procedures
• Prepare and position patients for procedures
• Support radiologists during fluoroscopic and IR procedures

Equipment & Imaging
• Operate X-ray, CR, and DR systems
• Ensure high-quality imaging for diagnostic and procedural accuracy
• Troubleshoot and report equipment issues

Patient Care & Safety
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Maintain awareness of patient rights and care standards

Team Collaboration
• Work closely with radiologists, nurses, and IR team
• Support workflow and assist team members
• Demonstrate professionalism and accountability

Documentation & Compliance
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Follow EMR documentation protocols

Must-Have Qualifications
• Minimum 2+ years of Radiology / IR experience
• Neurosurgery / Neuroscience experience (Required)
• Active New York State License (Required)
• BLS Certification (AHA - Required)

Preferred Qualifications
• Interventional Radiology experience (Preferred)
• Experience in high-acuity hospital environments
• Experience in procedural imaging settings
