Role

Senior Process Engineer supporting chemical industry projects from concept through construction. Lead engineering studies, develop PFDs and P&IDs, perform process calculations, select equipment and prepare specifications, and provide engineering oversight and field support.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering studies and write technical reports.
• Develop and complete engineering calculations.
• Create and revise PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).
• Specify equipment and prepare procurement documentation.
• Provide engineering oversight and checking of process deliverables.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline engineering and design teams.
• Assist in creation of bid packages and procurement support.
• Perform field work to support project execution.
• Support local clients and virtually support project teams in other locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering (qualifies for licensure in state of practice).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration or on-track to obtain PE within 12 months of hire.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Exposure to chemical plants and related industrial settings preferred.
• Experience with chemical simulation programs such as ChemCAD or Aspen.
• Experience with Pipe Flo or AFT Fathom is a plus.
• Experience with building codes, chemical storage requirements, utility systems, and distribution equipment.
• Experience with industrial wastewater treatment is a plus.
• Ability to work in a client-facing role and coordinate with contractors and vendors.

• Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year (depends on location, education, experience, and certifications).
