Production Planner

Production Planner (341993) Job Summary A Production Planner will develop and manage the execution of the production schedule as a result of line‑of‑balance output, taking into account available capacity, material availability and program delivery commitments. The Planner communicates manufacturing status, expected completion dates and production risk analysis to leadership and program managers based on internal and external supply information. Responsibilities Partner with procurement, production manager, quality, engineering, program management and other supply‑chain disciplines to proactively plan, schedule and effectively manage development, production and aftermarket support environments. Manage and own the execution of items associated with the Planner code, including release of internal jobs to the factory, release of purchase requisitions, management of disruptions in the internal factory (shortages, MRB, internal and external constraints), and provide feedback to internal customers. Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems to ensure personnel, equipment, materials and services are available as needed. Monitor internal and external supply‑chain alignment; identify and resolve potential constraints, maintain line‑of‑balance (build‑through) and purchase requests for production or purchase of components/parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Play an integral part of product Integrated Product Teams (IPT) by effectively interfacing with internal customers. Assist management in developing and executing plans for assigned products to maximize scheduled on‑time completion; analyze supply and demand data and reports to determine critical‑path constraints. Manage manual demand for top‑down & bottom‑up releases, facilitate ECN/ECP changes, coordinate production cut‑ins; review excess material for possible consumption in other jobs; create material transfers, borrow/payback transactions and PO change requests. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of moderately professionally related experience preferred. 1–3 years MRP experience & CPIM certification preferred. Self‑starter with ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Excellent communication, facilitation and networking skills. Outstanding analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent partnering and team‑building skills. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and prior MRP software. PowerPoint, MS Projects, EMatrix, Oracle ERP Software, PowerBI experience preferred.
