This role combines daily team leadership with shipping and receiving responsibilities, inventory support, and coordination across departments. If you’re an experienced supervisor who leads by example and adapts well to changing priorities, we’d like to hear from you. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you’ll oversee daily shipping activities and help the team meet goals for safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, cost control, and staff development. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, establish daily priorities, and communicate goals and deadlines. Lead direct reports, support employee development, and manage daily department performance. Gather products, attach labels, load trucks, and complete shipping paperwork. Accurately document product transfers and removals and support inventory control. Communicate with other departments to coordinate orders and resolve shipping needs. Reinforce safety expectations and compliance with company policies and procedures. Use sound judgment to make daily decisions and respond to changing priorities. Help in other shop‑floor positions and support special projects as needed. Requirements Prior supervisory experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Macola, barcode scanning processes, and shipping and receiving systems. Ability to complete documentation efficiently and accurately. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate expectations clearly. Strong attention to detail, quality, and inventory accuracy. Sound judgment, a safety‑focused approach, and flexibility in a changing work environment. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Two to three years of experience in a similar warehouse, shipping, or manufacturing environment. Thorough knowledge of department equipment and shipping processes. Knowledge of warehouse safety and compliance expectations. A collaborative approach and the ability to lead by example. Physical Requirements and Work Environment This role combines hands‑on warehouse work with computer, phone, and documentation tasks. Duties involve standing and walking for much of the day, frequent use of hands, and intermittent bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. The position requires lifting more than 30 pounds, reaching above and below shoulder level, and using foot controls. Work takes place around forklifts and other warehouse activity, with exposure to typical warehouse dust. No regular travel is required; occasional local support may be needed.
