Information Technology Business Analyst

This is a contract to permanent opening located in Oldsmar, FL. There is no relocation and the role requires onsite work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own the end-to-end intake process for initiative. Clearly define scope and requirements, ensuring that tasks are categorized, prioritized, and assigned for timely and successful execution. Serve as the communication anchor for assigned projects. Gather feedback to establish shared understanding of scope, priority, and timing. Provide regular, transparent updates during analysis and resolution; communicate outcomes and next steps after delivery. Translate business needs and opportunities into clear, actionable problem statements and requirements for data, development, and engineering teams to execute on. Coordinate with technical teams and external vendors to design and deliver solutions; hold all parties accountable to agreed timelines and quality standards. Producing user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria to support effective delivery. Support user acceptance testing (UAT), change management, and operational readiness for new capabilities and system updates. Monitor product and process performance trends; proactively surface systemic issues and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement. Contribute to a collaborative and supporting team environment. Perform additional duties as assigned.

KEY SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or Enterprise applications role, directly supporting business stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to understand business challenges and opportunities, and to independently manage end-to-end initiatives. Strong skills in requirements definition and documentation, including user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications. Experience with enterprise business systems (ERP, CRM, website platforms, financial platforms, or service management tools) with the ability to identify and leverage these tools for business solutions. Exceptional communicator with a disciplined before/during/after approach. Proactive in setting expectations, transparent with progress updates, and thorough in closing the loop; equally fluent with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Shorten project delivery times without sacrificing quality. Increase the rate of error-free deliverables and reduce rework during solution development. Maintain consistent, transparent communication—setting expectations up front, keeping stakeholders informed, and confirming outcomes at completion. Deliver solutions that meet requirements through to successful implementation.
