About the Role:
The Receptionist at SSC serves as the first point of contact for visitors and clients, playing a crucial role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations efficiently, including greeting guests, handling incoming calls, and coordinating appointments. The role requires excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a calm and friendly demeanor. The Receptionist will also support administrative functions by managing correspondence, maintaining records, and assisting with office logistics. Responsible to the Business Office Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a receptionist or front desk role.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as telephones, computers, and printers.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls and faxes promptly and efficiently.
- Manage the scheduling of appointments and maintain the front desk calendar.
- Obtain all pre-op orders for next day's surgeries and prepare all charts.
- Maintain the reception area’s and waiting room's cleanliness and organization to uphold a professional appearance.
- Collect Deposits and make sure all paperwork has been completed by patients.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation as needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate smooth office operations and communication.
Monday through Friday 8-5.
