Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Valid special education teaching license/certification for Ohio
• Experience working with middle school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
• Demonstrated skill in supporting social, emotional, and academic growth

What You’ll Do:

• Manage a caseload of 16 middle school students requiring special education services
• Develop and implement personalized education plans that address individual needs and strengths
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and adjust instruction as needed
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings
• Utilize positive behavior supports to create a constructive classroom atmosphere

This is a contract position offering competitive pay between $40 and $50 per hour, tailored to your experience and qualifications.
