Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or proper credentials to teach in the state
- Experience or interest in working with high school students, particularly those with mild to moderate needs (General IS)
- Strong grasp of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ability to implement them effectively
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and interdisciplinary teams
- Flexibility and adaptability in different classroom or support settings
- Proven ability to provide both direct instruction and supportive interventions in push-in and pull-out models
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering high-quality instruction tailored to individual student needs in various settings
- Developing and implementing IEPs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Monitoring progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with families and staff
- Collaborating with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to foster student success
- Participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and ongoing professional development
