Job Description The Director of Supply Chain for the Maritime Power Systems (PS) Division is responsible for strategic execution of the supply chain function, including leading all Division sites in combined metrics, forward looking approaches for procurement and proposals for all programs within the business unit across at least 4 sites within the continental US. This individual will report to the Sr. Director Maritime Sector Supply Chain and will work in a matrixed organization supporting the PS Division P&L leader. The role will provide significant strategic support to the Division’s business units to include the coordination of all Supply Chain support for the division’s programs. The individual will act as the primary point of contact for all Supply Chain related activities and initiatives within the division. The employee will lead strategy, long term planning, E3 Initiatives, Supply Chain metrics initiatives, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Supply Chain functional peers, program management, operations, engineering, finance, contracts, and other support functions. The individual will be responsible for developing a world‑class supply chain team of Supply Chain Program Managers through staffing, training, and talent management initiatives. The employee will be responsible for supply chain “Return to Green” initiatives while ensuring all activities are thoroughly communicated to the PS VPGM as well as the executive leadership team. The individual will also maintain responsibility for succession planning, as well as organizational and talent development. Other critical activities include facilitating Supplier Development and leading the organization in the development and implementation of operating philosophies and business strategies, developing, implementing, and sustaining success metrics. This individual is responsible for developing the strategy, vision and driving performance of all supply chain functions resulting in superior cost and schedule performance leading to strong internal/external customer satisfaction. Essential Functions Collaborates with the Functional organizations across the division to identify strategic suppliers and subcontractors and work proactively to meet or exceed performance (cost/schedule/technical) needs. Manages procurement processes and systems. Ensures processes are aligned with all Government, Corporate, and Division policies as well as prime contract requirements. Identifies and executes initiatives to improve performance based on industry best practices. Selects, motivates, and leads a strong team. Supports strategic new business pursuit activities as a critical subject matter expert for purchased and subcontracted systems and services. Ensures risk management strategies and processes are deployed on critical procurement efforts. Manages division supply chain performance to ensure program and division performance objectives are being met or exceeded. Qualifications US Citizenship required. Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross‑department project teams or manage across the function. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience. Preferred degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related discipline. Master’s degree in a related field, or MBA, desired. Experience in supply chain management (including sourcing, contracts, and/or subcontract management) in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Proven experience in leading high performing teams. Solid knowledge of defense supply chain and purchasing processes. Requires experience with FAR/DFARS contractual terms and conditions. Ability to manage change in an organization, reengineering its culture and approach to workload management. Earned Value Management experience / Previous Control Account Manager experience. Must have advanced computer skills and a solid understanding and knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. Ability to travel periodically; expected to be no more than 30% Preferred Additional Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management. Excellent analytical and organization skills. Benefits and Compensation In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $144,000-268,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
