We’re looking to hire a Senior Scientist to join our skin tissue engineering group at ODDITY LABS, with a strong focus on 3D modeling of skin. In this role, you will: Work closely and collaborate with the bioengineering teams within ODDITY LABS to develop 3D models of healthy and aged skin tissues, and utilize these models to discover novel molecules, including small molecules, peptides, and proteins, for topical skin applications in the health and wellness industry. Conceive, plan, and execute studies to develop, QC, and validate new skin tissue models for pigmentation, aging, and inflammation indications. Lead research programs focused on the novel application of 3D models in drug discovery projects. Refine and continuously evolve existing pipelines to enable data-driven decision-making, accelerating progression from proof-of-concept to product, and ensuring robust validation pipelines for anti-aging products. Develop and/or standardize protocols for in vitro primary cell culture under 2D and 3D conditions. Stay apprised of new dermatology, bioengineering and tissue engineering trends and implement new technologies that further enhance the capabilities of ODDITY LABS. Lead scientific assessments of M&A opportunities within the anti-aging and dermatology space, supporting cross-functional teams. Develop and present new concepts in partnership with ODDITY LABS and ODDITY leaders, highlighting innovations in anti-aging. Support 1-3 team members across their developments, providing feedback, coaching, and mentorship to foster expertise in anti-aging science. Foster a culture of innovation and leadership within ODDITY LABS and across ODDITY teams.WHO YOU ARE
You hold PhD/MS in Bioengineering or Biology with 6+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record in anti-aging research or dermatology. You have extensive knowledge of current 3D engineering techniques such as microfluidics and bioprinting. You have deep experience with mammalian cell culture, particularly in handling primary human cells. Experience with stem cells, iPSC differentiation, and/or CRISPR engineering is a plus. You have a deep understanding of skin and aging biology, with experience translating research findings into practical applications for skincare. You are a hard worker with a high level of accountability and a passion for solving complex biochemistry problems in a dynamic environment. You are a strong problem solver with a deep curiosity and desire to tackle challenging anti-aging research questions. You are enthusiastic about building and growing a team, creating an environment that supports your team’s personal and professional development while delivering strong performance. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including those focused on anti-aging solutions. You are adaptable and a team player, willing to take on ad hoc tasks to support the company’s growth and goals in anti-aging. Preferred experience: Pre-clinical in-vitro testing within dermatology and skincare product development, particularly for anti-aging products.WHAT WE OFFER
