Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Site Safety & Health Officer for our construction client to start immediately at $30.00/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
• Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings; submit reports and maintain site records.
• Lead weekly safety meetings, ensuring subcontractor participation and compliance.
• Enforce safety standards including fall protection, PPE, infection control, confined space entry, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Review and approve subcontractor safety plans; ensure proper signage and barricades are in place.
• Coordinate with VA safety officials and conduct emergency drills.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Training (required).
• Current First Aid, CPR, AED certifications (required).
• Competent Person training in Fall Protection, Excavation, and Scaffolding (required).
• Knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA 1926, NFPA, and VA safety regulations.
• Proven ability to enforce safety standards and foster collaborative relationships.

Skills

• Strong report writing, log maintenance, and digital safety management proficiency.
• Excellent communication skills for training and safety meetings.
• Ability to lead safety initiatives and coordinate safety measures effectively.
