Staff are assigned to groups for self-scheduling. These groups rotate every week, and there is a holiday rotation that requires working one summer and one winter holiday. Nurses will float as needed to cover staffing requirements. On the first day, the RN will complete necessary compliance tasks before starting the first shift on the following scheduled workday. The unit is a 32-bed medical/surgical environment that focuses on innovative nursing practices and new technology adoption. Daily patient rounds will include a diverse group of patients with varying medical diagnoses, emphasizing care for adults and geriatric populations. There is interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates should be proactive in managing patient care and adapting to new tools and processes.
