Diesel Mechanic – Bridge City, LAWe're looking for a hands-on, experienced Diesel Mechanic who knows their way around a garbage truck and takes pride in keeping things running. If you've got the skills and a solid work ethic, this role might be a great match.Schedule & PayHours: Monday–Friday, rotating SaturdaysShift: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10–11) hours/day, 52–55 hours/weekPay Range: $31-32/hour, depending on experienceWhat You'll Get From UsMedical, dental & vision coverage401(k) with up to 5% company matchPaid vacationTool Allowance: $200/monthBoot Stipend: AnnualWhat You'll DoPerform regular maintenance, inspections & safety checksDiagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, brake, suspension & air systemsHandle minor engine repairs and part replacementsUse onboard vehicle computer systems to troubleshoot and adjust controlsRespond to road calls and emergency repairsReview and complete driver inspection reportsLog work using fleet maintenance softwareTest drive trucks after serviceAssist teammates and interact professionally with driversKeep your work area clean and OSHA compliantTake on other duties as neededWhat You Bring5+ years of hands-on experience in diesel/heavy truck fleet maintenanceProficiency with diesel diagnostic tools and preventative maintenanceHydraulic system expertiseYour own tool setASE Certification preferredClass A or B CDL preferredWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
