Quick Facts: Location: Portage, WI Start Date: 09/03/2026 End Date: 12/03/2026 (ongoing coverage through 2027) Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM (Days) Hours/week: 36 hours Employment Type: Contract (W-2) License/Certs: Active Wisconsin Medical License, ACLS, ATLS preferred Experience: Previous Emergency Department experience required Pay & Benefits: Pay Rate: $1.00/hour (note: pay details to be discussed upon application) Benefits: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program and dedicated team support What You’ll Do: Provide emergency medical care to a diverse patient population in a busy ED/UC setting Collaborate with General Surgery, Orthopedics, Hospitalist team, and specialty services including Telestroke, Tele ICU, and UW helicopter support Manage approximately 40-60 patients per day, across a variety of acute cases Participate in ongoing coverage needs to meet patient demand through 2027 Utilize advanced medical support services and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes What You Need: Wisconsin State Medical License (or eligibility) ACLS and ATLS certifications preferred Prior Emergency Department or urgent care experience (minimum 1 year) Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills About the Assignment: Join a leading facility located in Portage, Wisconsin, offering a modern emergency department equipped with Telestroke, Tele ICU, and on-site helicopter services.
