Required Qualifications of theAudiologist 1+ years of recentaudiologyexperiencerequired Doctor of Audiology (AuD.) degree from an accredited university programrequired Current and valid Audiologystatelicensurerequired Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred High school diploma or GEDrequired Must successfully pass acriminalbackground check and drug screen Responsibilities of theAudiologist Demonstrate excellent clinical skills in diagnostic audiology and hearing rehabilitation Operate and interpret results from a variety of audiological equipment Possess strong counseling and interpersonal communication skills Explain complex information clearly and empathetically to patients and families Utilizeelectronichealth record (EHR) systems Work independently and as part of a team Providepatient-centered care Operateaudiological equipment and manipulatesmall objectsusing fine motor dexterity Observe patient responses and interpret test resultsusing visualacuity Performaccurateaudiometric testingusing hearing sensitivity Interact with patients who may have communication difficulties or be emotionally distressed About the Company Since 1987, this preeminent community practice has providedstate-of-the-arthealthcare mixed with old-fashioned hospitality in the southern Arizona region.
