Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Job Location:Petaluma, California Job Type:Temporary Pay Rate:$55-$60/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm Description of Position:Do you have experience as a Senior Accountant? Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support our accounting team during a 4-6 month assignment. This role will play a key part in managing month end close activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the implementation of a new ERP system. The ideal candidate will have strong GAAP knowledge, experience with financial reporting and reconciliations, and a proven ability to adapt to new systems and processes. Job Responsibilities:Lead month end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingPerform complex account reconciliations, including balance sheet and key subledgers (AP, AR, inventory, fixed assets, and deposits)Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentationMaintain the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accountsMonitor accruals, deferrals, and account adjustmentsPrepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports for managementEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Description of Company:You will be supporting a well-established corporate office in Petaluma, California.
