PRN Registered Respiratory Therapist Brunswick Medical Center, 240 Hospital Drive NE, Bolivia, North Carolina 28442 Work Schedule: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am, rotating weekends and holidays, PRN as needed. Location: Brunswick Medical Center, 240 Hospital Drive NE, Bolivia, North Carolina 28442 Department: Respiratory Care Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist Works under the supervision of the Manager. Responsibilities Act as a patient advocate, incorporating education in the interdisciplinary care plan. Prioritize job duties according to patients’ needs and changing acuity levels, ensuring timely completion of care interventions and medical orders. As directed by a physician, administer a variety of simple and complex treatments and tests. Collaborate with medical director and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized treatment plans for program participants. Provide competent delivery of all routine and emergent respiratory care services as described in the Respiratory Care policy and procedure manual. Explain purpose and procedure of treatments, tests, and equipment to patients. Record all pertinent information of treatments, including patient response, in the patient’s chart. Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers and patient transports. Evaluate patient needs and provide routine respiratory care such as ABGs and bronchial hygiene therapy, and perform higher levels of care in critical care areas and emergent situations. Demonstrate independence in Respiratory Care, practicing according to state requirements and standards. Critical Care specific duties: ventilator management, code blue, airway management, interpretation and intervention with blood gas analysis, and use of related protocols for patient care. Education & Licensure Associate Degree (2‑year) required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Current RCP licensure in the appropriate state required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
