Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern - (Summer 2026)

Safety/EHS Intern for Summer 2026 PacSci EMC, a Ralliant Operating Company, seeks a safety/EHS intern to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic, highly regulated environment while supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives. The intern will work closely with the EHS and Facilities team to promote workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Review operation processes and equipment designs to assess potential safety and health hazards and minimize employee injury. Actively participate and help lead the EHS morning Daily Management Meeting. Investigate injuries, near misses, or other safety‑related events. Participate in the development of Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) for high‑risk activities. Review recycling program and provide suggestions to increase overall waste diversion rate. Receive and respond to customer inquiries, coordinating with other departments. Develop and maintain support files, inspections, and other company documentation. Coordinate the submission of regulatory reports. Perform related duties as assigned. Assist in the Management of Change process. Qualifications Actively pursuing a BS degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or Safety Engineering, or a related engineering field. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt and contribute effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant business or technical software. U.S. citizenship required (ITAR compliance). Education & Experience Hands‑on experience, volunteer work, or prior internships in environmental management, safety management, industrial hygiene, or physical sciences preferred. College‑level experience with exposure to real‑world EHS challenges required. Working Environment Manufacturing setting with mechanical and automated equipment. Electronics manufacturing and testing areas. Regular foot travel required between buildings. Energetic and interactive environments utilizing strict safety protocols. Pay Range Hourly: $21.00 - $40.00 Is this role subject to ITAR? The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Candidates must be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
