Histology Technician

Job Description Performs all routine cutting and staining of surgical specimens, including frozen sections and special stains. Job Qualifications Associate’s degree in a program qualified for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Medical Lab Technology. Meets education/experience requirements under NewYork State Education Department grandparenting clause for Certified Histological Technician Licensure or Clinical Laboratory Technician. Licensed by NewYork State Education Department as a Certified Histological Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technician, required. Must have a valid permit and become licensed to practice as a Certified Histological Technician within one year of employment. Strong oral and written communication skills, required.
