CNC Estimator for Precision Machining Quotes

A growing precision manufacturer in the Milwaukee area is looking for an Estimating Engineer with strong CNC machining roots. You’ll sit at the intersection of technical expertise and business development – translating customer RFQs into accurate, competitive quotes while collaborating closely with sales and production teams. If you’ve built a career in CNC machining and are ready to take that knowledge into a role with broader business impact, this is the opportunity. What You’ll Do Evaluate customer RFQs, drawings, and specs for manufacturability and quoting scope Build detailed cost estimates for CNC turning and milling opportunities Partner with sales, engineering, and manufacturing on capabilities and constraints Generate quotes in ERP and quoting software using established standards Drive timely quote submissions and contribute to process improvements Support post-job analysis to sharpen future quoting accuracy What You Bring 8+ years of hands‑on CNC machining experience (machinist, toolmaker, or engineering role) Deep knowledge of precision milling and turning, including dual spindle Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills Sharp analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail Comfortable managing shifting priorities in a fast‑moving environment Nice to Have Experience in a dedicated estimating or sales engineering role Background in high‑precision, contract machining Familiarity with ERP systems or quoting software #J-18808-Ljbffr
