$24.00 - $37.00/hr* Full time Shifts may vary Position Summary... What you'll do... We are hiring Certified Pharmacy Technicians for our Central Fill in Spring, Texas. Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately, but the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve. The candidate must meet state requirements to work as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, must be currently certified as a pharmacy technician (on the PTCB website or the NHA website) and registered on the Texas State Board of Pharmacy website. The pay for a Certified Pharmacy Technician is $24.00/Hr. Required Shift Availability (Rotating Weekly Schedule, Monday–Sunday). Candidates will need to be available to work between the following hours: 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Full-Time 34 to 40 hours per week Up to 10-hour shifts Job duties: Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as prescribed by physicians. Process prescriptions, including counting, bottling, packaging, labeling, and recording medication dosages. Receive and process prescriptions, including entering prescription information into computer system and verifying accuracy. Perform inventory control, including stocking and re-stocking medications and supplies, removing expired items, and reporting on inventory levels. Answer phone calls, manage customer queries and forward complex queries to the pharmacist. Process insurance claims and manage payments. Comply with all security measures and quality standards of pharmaceutical care. Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment, including storing and disposing of medications and supplies properly. Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and pharmacy operations. Key Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement. Proficiency in managing inventory. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills for maintaining records and creating reports. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Physical requirements: Moves, lifts, carries, and places merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stands for long periods of time. Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reaches overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
