Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and specialized cardiac and critical care skills.

Job Details

• Medical Intensive Care Unit setting within a hospital,
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00),
• 13-week contract length,
• Every other weekend required, with flexibility based on staffing needs or traveler preference,
• No call requirements,
• Floating required between ICU and Telemetry units,
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred, but ability to quickly learn is acceptable,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required,
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required,
• Prior travel experience required,
• At least 2 years of ICU experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required for first-time travelers,
• Impella and balloon pump experience required,
• Skilled in stroke care and STEMI management,
• Proficient in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and airway suctioning,
• Experience with arterial line and central line management,
• Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips,
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and emergency medications,
• Knowledge of CVA/acute stroke management and dysrhythmia interpretation and treatment,
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and blood product administration,
• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients, including those requiring advanced cardiac and respiratory support,
• Navy blue scrubs required for this unit,
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate,
• First-time travelers considered if minimum experience requirements are met,
